Abstract: This textbook is the first of its kind to explore entrepreneurship from a business process perspective. Other textbooks in the discipline have variously examined the topic from the perspective of the individual entrepreneur and the traits that are neces sary for success; from the perspective of the resources that entrepreneurs need to launch and sustain an enterprise; and from the perspective of the skills that are needed to be successful as an entrepreneur. Each of these approaches is valid in its own right, but each also leaves out one significant point that the entrepreneur must understand business from the perspective of the chief executive officer. This critical difference, a difference of perspective, is what distinguishes this textbook from all others currently in the field. editor.
